The Director

Kylie, MICDA

Director of The Leaping Deer Centre — the architect holding a multiverse of ventures in a single, deliberate orbit.

Kylie, Director

“I did not want a portfolio. I wanted a Centre — a place where the ventures could breathe against one another, where the heat of one could warm another, and where a visitor could feel the whole herd move at once.”

— Kylie, MICDA, Director
Background

Kylie leads The Leaping Deer Centre as its founding director, guiding a collective of creative ventures — from film and sound to design and editorial. Her work sits at the intersection of media laboratory and architectural firm: precise, expansive, and built to endure.

The Role

As director, Kylie holds the lineage. She sets the standard each venture inherits, chooses where the next leap lands, and ensures the Centre never trades momentum for drift. Every project carries her signature discipline.

01

Momentum over scale

A venture grows by leaping with intent — not by drifting wider. I keep each entity lean enough to change direction mid-air.

02

Craft is a lineage

Every project in the Centre shares one bloodline of media excellence. The medium changes; the standard does not.

03

Stillness commands authority

Whitespace and shadow do the work that noise cannot. I design for the pause as much as the leap.
